Don Hatt

Don is a seasoned executive with experience in forming, organizing, and operating both privately held and publicly owned companies. He has served in CFO, COO and CEO roles with several northern New England based financial services companies, including Great Bay Bankshares (Dover, NH), Northway Financial (Berlin, NH), and Federal Savings Bank (Dover, NH). His background includes general management, strategic planning, financial and operational management, and community relations. Don is a skilled negotiator experienced with both mergers and acquisitions and turnaround situations and is an experienced board member both within and outside the financial services industry.

Don's focus at Chartworth, LLC includes mergers and acquisitions and turnaround engagements. His previous M&A experience includes negotiating the sale of a publicly held bank holding company to the American subsidiary of the Bank of Ireland, and representing the shareholders of Bushmaster Firearm's, a Maine based firearms manufacturer, in the sale of their company to a private equity firm. He recently relocated to Melbourne, Florida where he will be focusing on expanding Chartworth's client base in the Southeast.

Don earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Business from Thomas College, Waterville, ME and graduated from the Graduate School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University, Fairfield CT. His military career with the U.S. Air Force Security Service included assignments in Pakistan, South Vietnam and South Korea.
